Go get a hot dog at Coney Island. This place woulda been the spot in the 20's when the cyclone was put up here.
There is carnival food of every type here on the boardwalk. The freak show looks like it hasn't changed much over the years either. My friend, our painter, Josh is from Brooklyn, says he went as a kid every weekend with his Dad. Check out the boat swinging over the sidewalk and traffic.
There is a large police presence all around the area. You just never know what you'll see here, huge Percheron / Quarter horse, made me feel right at home.
You can't go to Coney Island without stopping at the first and original Nathans Hotdogs. Oddly enough they had frog legs on the menu, well,, when in Rome,, er,, Broklyn?!?! (don't tell Sweeny)
Ride to Nova Scotia
We got the chance to see the Yankee's play the Mariners. It's the last season in the stadium, in use since 1923. The Pope was here a week or so ago for a mass. We had baseball food, sat in a box next to the field, parked right next to the stadium. (thank you Claude) We couldn't have asked for a better time.
